Our aims
We want to ensure that our learning programmes are accessible. We recognise that the different needs of all our students and staff should be taken into account in the development, delivery and assessment of the curriculum. We are committed to ensuring that all staff have access to learning and development opportunities.
The objectives and actions set out within the Single Equality Scheme action plan will help us realise our aims and ensure that equality, diversity and inclusivity is embedded in everything that we do.
Staff equality and diversity training
- The Equality and Diversity Unit offers equality, diversity and inclusion e-learning for staff (staff login required). This includes advice about how to recognise and challenge inappropriate behaviour, including casual racism at work.
- UWE Bristol’s Learning and Development Centre (LDC) runs several relevant one-day courses (staff login required).
