Stonewall
UWE Bristol is proud to be a Stonewall Diversity Champion and is committed to creating a more inclusive workplace using the Workplace Equality Index (WEI) and involving our staff in this process.
In 2020, UWE Bristol was ranked 93 out of 503 organisations who made submissions to the Workplace Equality Index (PDF). This ranked us 15th in the education sector, out of 54 entrants.
Disability Confident
UWE Bristol is proud to be accredited as a Level 2 Disability Confident Employer in 2022 and have made a commitment to the recruitment, development and retention of disabled staff. As part of this, we operate a Guaranteed Interview Scheme, which offers a guaranteed interview to disabled applicants who fully meet the essential criteria of a role.
Mindful Employer
The University is committed to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of our staff members and has been a signatory of the Mindful Employer charter since 2017. By signing the ‘Charter for Employers Positive about Mental Health’, we are making a public declaration of our instiutions ambition to meet the aspirations set out in the charter, and to support the mental wellbeing of our staff.
