How to report by phone

  1. Step 1

    If you are planning to phone in your repair request, please be ready with as much information as possible about the problem – what needs repairing, what is wrong with it and where is it located?

    We will also need your contact details - your name, student ID, accommodation address, a telephone number and email address.

  2. Step 2

    All students have access to an online flat maintenance tracker, where you can view and check the live status of any jobs reported in your property. You can log in to the maintenance tracker.

  3. Step 3

    Repairs and planned maintenance will be completed by UWE Bristol approved contractors. If you have reported a fault you should expect a contractor to visit. You do not need to be present in the property and Accommodation Services will issue a key for access directly to the contractor. A calling card will be left in your room when a contractor enters your room/property.

Emergency repairs

If you smell gas, think you have a gas leak, or are worried that fumes containing carbon monoxide are escaping from a gas appliance, please use the emergency repairs contact details below and follow the instructions:

  • open all doors and windows to ventilate the property
  • do not turn on/off any electrical switches
  • extinguish all naked flames, do not smoke, strike matches or do anything which could cause ignition/sparks
  • if there are any electrical security entry phones/locks, please open door manually.

Emergency repair requests should be made at the nearest Customer Services desk:

  • Student Village residents – Cotswold Court desk, Frenchay Campus
  • Wallscourt Park residents – N Block reception, Frenchay Campus
  • Glenside and The Hollies residents – 1H29, Glenside Campus.
