Free access 24/7
All UWE Bristol students can access the service free of charge, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can access support through live chat or video chat from anywhere in the world and there’s no limit to how often you can access support.
You can continue to use the service for up to three months after graduation.
Everything you share is confidential and will not be passed on to UWE Bristol or external services unless there is a serious concern for your safety or someone else’s.
Structured counselling
Structured counselling is available in person, by phone or via video chat. You can access up to six sessions per issue, per year.
The service also offers counsellor matching, helping you connect with someone who best fits your needs and preferences. You will receive a clinical assessment first to ensure structured counselling is the right support for you.
Face-to-face counselling
Face-to-face counselling is available seven days a week from 08:00 to 20:00.
Counsellor matching is completed within two working days and your first session can usually be arranged within three working days.
Specialist advisors
Specialist advisors are available from 09:00 to 21:00.
Advisors are experts in legal rights, responsibilities and housing issues. They’ll listen to your situation and offer practical guidance. They may refer you to external services to ensure you get the best support. If you know you want to speak to an advisor, just let the service know when you get in touch.
