Singing for Lung Health

A singing group open to anyone experiencing breathing difficulties or lung problems including COPD, asthma and more.

The UWE Singing for Lung Health group is run by UWE Bristol Music Therapy alumna and experienced musician Valerie Winning-Hart.

It is open to anyone experiencing breathing difficulties or lung problems including COPD, asthma and more. Friends and partners are also welcome.

There is increasing evidence that singing regularly as part of a group is good for your general health and wellbeing. A growing body of research suggests that group singing is especially good for people living with a long-term lung condition.

You don’t need any musical ability or experience to join a singing group and benefit from learning the breathing exercises, singing in a group, and meeting other people with a lung condition.

Please email valerie2.winninghart@live.uwe.ac.uk to join.
