UWE Bristol Student Support Fund

This fund is for UK undergraduate and postgraduate students who may need extra financial support.

About the fund

The Student Support Fund is a significant fund provided by UWE Bristol to support UK undergraduate and postgraduate students who may need extra financial support to remain in higher education.

The 2019/20 Student Support Fund is now open to applications. It closes on Friday 12 June 2020, or earlier if funds are spent before this date. If you wish to make an application, please consider applying as soon as you can.

How to apply

You can apply online via our InfoHub form.

Please read the information in the student guide to the Student Support Fund carefully before submitting an application. You must complete the application in full.

The application process requires that you complete a Blackbullion module. If you completed a module last academic year, you will need to complete a different module this year. We recommend the Budgeting module, but if you have completed this previously, please choose from: Starting University (new students only), 21 Days of Savings, Risk, Debt or Savings.

Once you have completed the application, you will be required to submit your supporting evidence. Your application will not be considered until we receive your evidence. This includes three months of statements for all bank, building society, savings and ISA accounts and a BACS form which will be emailed to you upon submission. There are three stages to the application form: the eligibility checker, the Blackbullion form and the application form itself. Please ensure you complete all three forms.

If you need any guidance or experience problems with the online application, please contact us at sms@uwe.ac.uk or on +44(0)117 32 85678.

If you are experiencing exceptional financial hardship which will prevent you from attending or continuing on your course, please contact a Money Adviser.
