Centre for
Music

The Centre for Music is an extraordinary music facility, with FREE access for all students at UWE. Studies show music develops excellent transferable and interpersonal skills so whether you are starting from scratch or already a music expert we have fantastic opportunities for you to get involved.

You can book our rehearsal studios, DJ suite or arrange sessions at our recording studio. You can join any of our choirs and vocal groups from Pop to Classical and play in our orchestra or Jazz ensembles. Develop your skills at professionally run sessions on songwriting, music production (including Logic and Ableton), DJing, sound engineering or just come along for a jam session! We even have our own cosy performance space if you want to put a gig on.

Based on Frenchay campus, the centre is led by industry professionals and academics who'll help you develop and perform at the highest level you can.

The benefits of getting involved:

  • Develop essential skills in teamwork, creativity, event organisation and leadership
  • Improve your career prospects with high quality cultural and artistic activity
  • Look after your wellbeing and meet new people
  • Receive four small group lessons on drums/guitar/piano/voice for just £20
  • This activity can count towards your UWE Bristol Futures Award
