Centre for
Music

The Centre for Music is a hub for music within the University and the surrounding area, partnering with local and national organisations to enrich the cultural experience of students, staff, alumni and members of the local community.

Centre for Music groups regularly perform at venues across Bristol and the South West. Opportunities also include free music or singing lessons and vocal workshops, as well as access to rehearsal rooms and practice spaces. CfM also offer opportunities to explore DJ workshops, music production training, sound, light and stage production and synthesiser workshops.

Whether you would like to play an instrument, sing, perform on stage or attend one of our many performances, there is something for everyone.

The benefits of getting involved:

  • Receive five free lessons in either drums, piano or guitar as part of your membership
  • Enhance your student experience through cultural activity
  • Develop a rounded personality and key transferable work skills
  • Improve your career prospects by demonstrating the breadth of your University portfolio
  • this activity can count towards your UWE Bristol Futures Award
