Description
Here at UWE Bristol, we're keen for our research to make a difference out there in the real world – and most real-world research problems these days require multiple skillsets and perspectives to solve.
This workshop will give you the confidence to begin developing those all-important networks of contacts, and to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with other researchers whether academic, industrial or community-based. And, since communication is at the heart of collaboration, we'll also explore how to describe one's research (e.g. in an elevator pitch) effectively to others.
By attending this workshop, you'll:
- understand the meaning and importance of 'impact' in research
- feel more confident to begin growing your own professional network
- take away a few sentences to describe your research to potential collaborators
- feel part of the UWE research community.
