Description
Back by popular demand! We are holding another mending session in Glenside Library.
Bring along any items of clothing that need repair and we will do our best to help you to mend them. If your clothes are a bit much to carry to campus, we will have some items you can practice on before taking your skills back home. If you have nothing to mend but are just curious, come along too, you could work on our practice items, help someone else out, or just watch.
Things we can help with include but are not limited to:
- sewing on buttons/poppers
- patching holes
- sewing up seams
- sewing up holes
- darning
- adjusting hem lengths.
We will have a go at most other things!
This event is free for all students and staff. We will provide all the tools and materials (but you are welcome to bring something you want to use). There will be light refreshments for you to enjoy while you mend.
We will be sat on the table nearest the water cooler in the Library Lounge, which is the first area when you enter Glenside Library.
