Moving around safely on campus
Zones set up
To keep us safe during coronavirus, Glenside Campus has been split into ‘zones’ to help us manage the number of people in buildings, corridors and toilets. The campus map (above) shows these zones. The number of people in each zone is managed by the timetable and other booking systems. We have barriers in place to prevent internal moving between zones.
We ask you to only enter a zone when you’re scheduled to be there, using the designated entrances and to move between zones outside of the building. Please use the map to identify the entry and exit points from each zone. There are signs in all the corridors to remind everyone to keep left and keep moving.
We’re using two-metre social distancing in all areas. All our teaching rooms, staff areas and catering spaces are set up to ensure a minimum of two metres between people, wherever possible.
Classroom capacities have been significantly reduced, with furniture removed and the remaining furniture arranged in a safe format to facilitate small group working. Furniture layout plans are available on the wall of every room. We ask you not to move the chairs.
Hand washing and face coverings
Hand sanitiser is available at every entrance, outside every toilet and at other strategic locations around the campus.
You are strongly encouraged to wear face coverings while moving around inside buildings and on campus.
Information Point location
The Information Point in The Students’ Union Building at Glenside is opening from 1 October. The Students' Union Glenside office, bar and shop are all open now, Monday to Friday 09:30–14:30. Other student services will be available online with limited bookable face-to-face appointments where necessary.
