ESRC Seminar Series - Seminar 5
Sharing international experience on urban design and planning solutions for promoting health and environmental sustainability.
The ESRC Seminar Series - Seminar 5 took place on Monday 13 June 2016, from 10:30 -15:45 at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Keppel Street, London.
The workshop presented UK and international case studies to explore how some of health challenges such as air, water and soil pollution; poor housing; traffic congestion and noise due to unsustainable urban development; and urban impacts on physical activity and diets, of people living in cities around the world face that are being tackled through urban design and urban and transport planning, and how integrated solutions may have benefits for both health and environmental sustainability.
