Our commitment as a smokefree campus and guidance for students wanting to quit.
Large parts of the University are smokefree as part of our commitment to providing a healthy and safe environment for all staff and students.
Smokefree campus
Smoking is already prohibited in all UWE Bristol buildings. Our Smokefree policy now prohibits smoking within ten metres of all university buildings, so creating a smokefree space.
Operations and Security staff will be patrolling to make sure that smokers are aware of where they can and cannot smoke.

If you wish to smoke you will need to move ten metres from university buildings.
E-cigarettes
The use of e-cigarettes is prohibited inside all UWE Bristol buildings.
Get support for quitting smoking
If you have considered or are considering stopping smoking, you don't have to do it alone.
The NHS, One You South Gloucestershire, Everyone Health Bristol and Tobacco Free Campus all provide a large range of advice, support and information for quitting smoking. The NHS offer a variety of resources such as NHS Quit Kits, cost calculators, FAQs, a smoking helpline and local stop smoking services, all accessible via their website. One You provides a list of accessible online tools that you can make use of. If you wish to get further help, you can talk to an expert.
