Global opportunities photo competition
We’re looking to expand UWE Bristol’s image library to include more content of UWE Bristol students abroad.
We want images that tell a story about your international experience! Why not send us a selfie against beautiful scenery or amongst a bustling city street; or a photo of you taking part in an unusual cultural experience – anything that provides context.
This competition is open to all students undertaking global opportunities abroad – this includes study, work, volunteering and teaching abroad.
- First Prize: £150 Amazon gift voucher.
- Runner up (2 prizes): £50 Amazon gift voucher.
- The deadline for entries is midnight on Sunday 31 May 2020.
- Winners will be announced during the week commencing Monday 6 July 2020.
First place, and winner of £150 Amazon voucher went to Richard Williams who completed a Clinical Placement in Tromsø, Norway as part of his BSc Physiotherapy degree.
Runner Up prizes were awarded to Shelley McManmon, who completed a placement year in Zimbabwe with Children and Nature Conservation Zimbabwe as part of her Bsc Wildlife Ecology and Conservation Science degree, and Mica Penton, who spent a semester in Seoul, South Korea as part of her BA Drawing and Print programme.
Entries for 2019/20 now open
This year's photo competition is open to all students undertaking global opportunities abroad – this includes study, work, volunteering and teaching abroad. We want images that tell a story and narrate your international experiences. Ideally, your image should show you in the photo doing something particular to your destination.
The competition is open until Sunday 31 May 2020. The winner will receive a £150 Amazon voucher, and two runners up will each win a £50 Amazon voucher.
