Description

Curious about what’s inside a laptop and why they fail? Join our hands-on laptop repair workshop and discover the inner workings of laptops, learn basic repair skills and explore e-waste in a fun, interactive session!

What’s included:

  • take apart old or faulty laptops to understand components and common failure points
  • learn about precious metals hidden inside electronics
  • brief introduction to Enviro IT, e-waste and repair safety
  • guidance from helpers to ensure a safe, engaging experience.

By the end of the session, participants will:

  • understand main laptop components and their functions
  • recognise common causes of failure and basic diagnostics
  • be able to assess the repairability of different laptop models
  • gain awareness of e-waste and sustainable electronics recycling.

Bring along laptops if you can – they make the session even more hands-on! Whether you’re tech-curious, a budding repair enthusiast, or just looking for a fun, educational activity, this workshop is for you. Come tinker, learn and explore the fascinating world inside your devices!
