Description
Would you like to:
- understand a diagnosis of ADHD better?
- find your strengths?
- explore new strategies to help with your study skills? behaviour? performance?
- try something new?
- meet like-minded peers?
If so, you could join a psychoeducational ADHD programme run by the ALS Team at UWE Bristol.
Who is it for?
- UWE students with a diagnosis of ADHD.
- UWE students who have attended a screening appointment, where indicators of ADHD have been identified and are impacting on study.
- UWE students currently on a waiting list for an ADHD assessment.
- UWE students who have Reasonable Adjustments due to ADHD.
What is expected of you?
Commitment - ideally, you will attend all five sessions. The more you can attend, the more you will get from it. We will be developing awareness, strengths, strategies and behaviours over the course of the programme.
What is it not?
- It is not a counselling or therapeutic space. If you are having significant mental health concerns that are affecting your ability to engage with your studies, please review the UWE Health and Wellbeing page.
- It is not a place to gain advice on further diagnosis for neurodiverse or mental health conditions.
- It is not a place to explore medication options. Please contact your general practitioner/doctor to discuss this.
- It is not a drop-in space.
