Description

This follow-up session will give you the opportunity to conduct a brief oral presentation to fellow participants from Stand up and be heard Part 1. You will be given constructive feedback and lots of encouragement along the way. Further details of this workshop will be given at the end of Part 1.

Please note you can only attend Part 2 if you have previously attended Part 1.

Workshop objectives

To feel more confident about:

  • identifying the issues associated with my fear of presentations/public speaking
  • reviewing strategies that may help manage my fear of presentations/public speaking
  • exploring the benefits of public speaking as a transferrable skill.

About the Facilitator

Dr Rob Grieve, Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy, University of the West of England, is a Senior Fellow of the HEA. As a person with a mild stammer, he has faced many issues in public speaking. This has led to an increased awareness around student fears of public speaking and resulted in the facilitation of these university-wide support workshops.

If you have any questions or any accessibility needs, please do contact UWE Bristol Library.
