Description
Drop in virtually and find out how to improve the sustainability and efficiency of laboratories using a national framework — LEAF.
LEAF is a programme developed by University College London, which covers all aspects of sustainability: waste, people, travel, energy, water, procurement, and research quality. It uses a dedicated framework, online calculators, toolkit and resources.
With three labs on campus already applying for the Bronze award (in forensics, microbiology and molecular biology), hear from our Environment Management Lead Jeff Davey about how to get involved. Exchange experiences with more than a dozen labs that are already signed up and taking the challenge.
LEAF is geared primarily towards biological wet labs, so if you run a computer lab, Jeff also has guidance on Green Disc, the free computing equivalent.
Open to all staff and students, whether you are a lab technician, are already registered with the scheme or just interested in the issues.
