Faculty of Arts, Creative Industries and Education Dean's Bursary
Eligible for undergraduate applicants to this faculty.
About the bursary
The Dean’s Bursary is an award of £1,000 a year for the first two years of study at UWE Bristol, designed to widen participation in higher education and help people to succeed in furthering their ambitions.
Five bursaries will be available to students who live in neighbourhoods that traditionally do not participate in higher education.
In return for this money we ask students to complete a piece of project work around widening participation in higher education, using the skills they will be learning on their course.
Eligibility and how to apply
The scheme is designed for new undergraduate applicants to the Faculty of Arts, Creative Industries and Education from the Bristol region. Once offered a place on a course in the Faculty, those who are eligible will be sent details of how to apply. This is a highly competitive scheme, the number of applications far exceeds the number of awards made.
Applications for 2020 have now closed. The scheme will reopen in 2021.
