The Students' Union bar and coffee shop - U Block

The coffee shop on the upper floor serves Starbucks coffee and fresh sandwiches and panini and the bar serves a wide range of food throughout the day and becomes an entertainment venue at night providing everything from quiz nights to club nights.

A café with outside seating serving a full hot a la carte menu, fresh sandwiches, snacks and speciality hot and cold drinks.

Costa Coffee - We Proudly Serve - R Block

Whether you want to wake yourself up with one of our short drinks or relax over a tall drink we’ve got a coffee to suit you. A café with outside seating serving a wide selection of sandwiches and snacks to enjoy on the go.

Crussh Fit Food and Juice Bar - T Block

The destination for anyone with an interest in healthy eating.

Full of Beans Coffee Cart (opposite fruit and veg stall)

This is a convenient and quick service coffee cart which offers a wide selection of Fairtrade drinks and snacks to enjoy on the go.

Onezone restaurant - E Block

This is the award winning main campus restaurant which provides a full range of hot meals, meal deals, salad bar, cultural food counters, hot and cold drinks, snacks and cakes.

Starbucks - E Block

Our drinks range includes a wide range of premium coffees including whole bean and ground coffee. Try our classic favourite drinks like a frappuccino, latte, espresso and Americano. We also have hot chocolate and a range of teas available. Our food range covers breakfast sandwiches/rolls and filled croissants as well as cakes, cookies and pastries to suit everyone’s tastes.

The Grill - B Block

Enjoy delicious recipes, from burgers bursting with flavour, to piri piri strips kicking with zing, to wet wings wonderfully topped with a punchy piri piri marinade.

The Street Cafe - S Block (front entrance)

The menu offers dishes such as succulent pulled pork, burgers with real potato chips, traditional handmade flatbread pizzas and freshly prepared Tascas. Also offering great vegan options.

Street food community - in courtyard between E/F/N block

One street food trader will appear per day from an award-winning community called Bristol Eats. They source local and seasonable food where possible, use as little fuel as possible when cooking, and only use biodegradable disposables.

Street food traders

Jikoni

Jikoni East Africa showcases the fantastic food culture of East Africa, with dishes from Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia and Tanzania. From Ethiopia we bring you the unique spice blend 'berebere', awaze chilli paste and nit'ir kibbeh (spiced clarified butter); some of the fabulous ingredients we love to cook with. Kenya and Tanzania offer sumptuous charcoal grilled meats and great seafood dishes as well as a fantastic array of tropical produce from matooke to cassava, papaya to loquat. Iman's motherland, Somalia, takes filo pastry and chapati to the next level, with mastery in subtle spicing and great sauces and broths to get our creative juices flowing.

Ciccio's

Ciccio's Kitchen is a family-run business. Originally from Italy, Francesco passionately sources locally produced, quality ingredients and creates creatively presented delicious food. Pizza, arancini and cannoli are available to take away.

Sri Liscious

Scri Liscious combine fragrant spices grown on the island and traditional recipes (with influences from Southern India to Portugal). Our speciality is egg hoppers, which are made in roadside stalls all over Sri Lanka. They are crispy bowl-shaped pancakes made from a batter of rice flour and coconut milk, an egg is poached in the batter and then topped with a range of sambols or chutneys, from mild coconut and lime, to fiery chilli and onion. We also make short-eats, or snacks, such as vegetable roti parcels, fish cutlets and lamb rolls, all made with a special blend of Sri Lankan spices. You will also find the popular street food kottu roti, plus a variety of rice and curry options which change according to the season.

Most of our food is vegetarian or vegan and we have gluten and dairy free options.

High Steaks

High Steaks create steak sandwiches and other less expected dishes, all of which showcase our signature chimichurri. All of our steak is sourced from small, local, free-range herds. We only ever use our favourite cuts (customers' choice of rib eye, onglet or featherblade) which we cut into wafer-thin “Philly style” layers for a seriously quick-cooking, easy-eating, melt-in-the-mouth experience delivered with bags of theatre.

Alongside our steak sandwiches, we also serve our chimichurri in more interesting settings with everything from seriously addictive grilled cheese sandwiches to big juicy tiger prawns depending on the location and the season, so if steak sandwiches aren’t your thing, we’ve got you covered.

Moo Stoo

Moo Stoo offers a range of meat and vegan stews all served with an old fashioned vegetable suet dumpling. We are geared towards sustainability and supporting other local businesses.

Gopal's

Gopal’s Curry Shack serves creative, vibrant Indian street food with a modern twist. All of our food is vegetarian and most of it vegan and gluten free. Gopal’s serve a range of curries, snacks, sweet treats and drinks. Our best-selling dishes include aloo tikki chat and South Indian sweet potato, red pepper and coconut curry. We use seasonal, local and ethical produce to create fresh and tasty dishes, and strives to use recycled materials wherever possible and practicable.

Enggi's Kitchen

We started Enggi’s Kitchen to introduce Indonesian cuisine to the public and chose our menu carefully to ensure the authenticity of the food we bring whilst engaging in building network with the local farmers and butchers. Our meat and poultry are from Halal butchers.

Momo

Momo bar brings you street food with a taste of Tibet. Steamed dumplings and delicious noodle boxes, all handmade, based on recipes handed down through the family and tweaked for new tastes. Served with our popular traditional hot chilli sauce, or milder chilli to suit tastes.

Agnes Spencer

Agnes Spencer is a family-based Jamaican food company, producing recipes from our grandmother, Agnes Spencer. We specialise in jerk chicken and Jamaican patties.

Grate

Grate is a celebration of Somerset’s artisan cheeses. Think incredible hand-made cheeses oozing from golden, crispy organic sourdough. Our mantra is ‘local, ethical, seasonal’ and these are rules that we live by.

Stock for essentials at our convienience stores. We even have a print shop and post office on campus.

Convenience store stocking student essentials including groceries, health and beauty products, stationery and cards and stamps.

Jimmy Deane’s Fruit and Veg (next to the cash machine in the undercroft area)

Offering a range of fresh fruit and veg from local suppliers. Organic and Fairtrade goods are sourced where possible.

Post office

The Post Office is located in PrintWorks shop in the main Library on Level 4.

PrintWorks

The PrintWorks Shop is a professional printing and binding service for students and staff.

The PrintWorks Shop is based in room 4D30, on Level 4 of Frenchay Library.

 

Village Store - Centre for Sport

Located in the Centre for Sport, this shop stocks student essentials. Licensed to sell alcohol.

  • Monday to Friday: 10:00–17:00
  • Saturday and Sunday: 12:00–17:00.
