Entry requirements
If you do not quite meet the entry requirements for our undergraduate courses, UWE Bristol offers foundation degrees or undergraduate degrees with foundation year entry.
English language requirements
To study at UWE Bristol you must demonstrate that your English level is high enough for university study. We accept a number of different Secure English Language Tests (SELT) for entry onto our degree courses, with IELTS being the most common. English language requirements vary slightly from subject to subject.

What to do if you don't meet our entry requirements
If you do not quite meet our entry requirements, our International College offers a range of university preparation courses to teach you all you need to progress to UWE Bristol. We also have a pre-sessional English language course to get your English skills up to the standard required for entry to UWE Bristol.
Entry requirements
Holders of Diplomã de Bacalaureat (Technological/Vocational Profile), Maistru from Scoli Tehnice de Maistri or Scoli Postliceale with a grade of 8 can be considered for entry onto undergraduate courses.
Students with a minimum of B2 in each component of English Language in the Romanian Baccalaureat (taken from 2018) meet our English language requirements for the majority of courses. Where students substitute this with an alternative international examination we will need to see the alternative certificate which should be one from English language requirements and should meet our stated requirement.
The requirements listed above are the minimum requirements for entrance to UWE Bristol; competitive courses may have higher requirements.

Holders of Diploma de Licenta, Diploma Inginer and Diploma de Arhitect with a 7/10 can be considered for postgraduate study.
Holders of the Diploma de Master can be considered for PhD study.
Please note: where UWE Bristol has an academic agreement in place with an institution, greater flexibility in entry requirements for undergraduate and postgraduate courses may apply as outlined in those agreements.
