Entry requirements
If you do not quite meet the entry requirements for our undergraduate courses, UWE Bristol offers foundation degrees or undergraduate degrees with foundation year entry.
English language requirements
To study at UWE Bristol you must demonstrate that your English level is high enough for university study. We accept a number of different Secure English Language Tests (SELT) for entry onto our degree courses, with IELTS being the most common. English language requirements vary slightly from subject to subject.

What to do if you don't meet our entry requirements
If you do not quite meet our entry requirements, our International College offers a range of university preparation courses to teach you all you need to progress to UWE Bristol. We also have a pre-sessional English language course to get your English skills up to the standard required for entry to UWE Bristol.
Entry requirements
All students must also have a recognised English language qualification. A Grade 5 or above in English in the Bulgarian Diploma meets our English language requirements for most courses.
Holders of Diploma za Sredno Spetsialno Obrazovanie with an average score of 5 or above will be considered for a bachelor's degree.
Holders of Svidetelstvo za Profesionalna Kvalifikasia with an average score of 5 or above will be considered for a bachelor's degree.
Holders of Diploma za Zavarsheno Poluvisshe Obrazovanie (DZPO) with a score of 5 or above will be considered for a bachelor's degree.
Holders of Diploma za Sredno Obrazovanie with an average score of 5 or above will be considered for a bachelor's degree.

Holders of Diploma za Zavarsheno Visshe Obrazovanie are eligible to apply for postgraduate study.
Holders of a master's degree (pre 2000) are eligible to apply for postgraduate study.
Holders of a master's degree (post 2000) are eligible to apply for a PhD.
Please note: where UWE Bristol has an academic agreement in place with an institution, greater flexibility in entry requirements for undergraduate and postgraduate courses may apply as outlined in those agreements.
