Bristol Law School has established connections with professional regulatory bodies, plus regional and national law firms, chambers and businesses, offering mentoring, internships and placements. We’ve also built an extensive global network of partners, offering opportunities to study abroad.

Our world-leading researchers collaborate with national and international organisations on Public International Law, Environment Law and Financial Crime. From environmental law to criminal justice, we’re creating solutions to real-world challenges.

Placements and work experience

Work experience is vital in today's crowded jobs market. And while our students are here, we provide one-to-one support to help hem find experience that fits their career plans.

We help prepare students for internships, placements and graduate recruitment through the provision of embedded careers and enterprise education and extra-curricular employability workshops and appointments and on-line careers resources.

Business and Law Clinic

  • Our business and law students have the opportunity to develop legal and professional skills and awareness by taking part in pro bono projects as part of the Business and Law Clinic.

Specialist careers support

Students have the opportunity to attend daily careers drop-ins and workshops or schedule a one-to-one coaching appointment with our dedicated Careers team. Students have access to online resources including the UWE Bristol InfoHub vacancy search engine and Careers toolkit supporting students to find jobs and providing help with the recruitment processes. Meet the Employers Fair, UWE Law Fair, Employer-led workshops and industry insight and networking events occur throughout the academic calendar giving students the opportunity to engage with employers directly.

It doesn't end when our students graduate. Alumni can access our careers services for a further three years after graduating.
