Playing and singing opportunities
There are many ways to become involved with the Centre for Music, depending on your interests and talents.

All Together Now
- Singing group open to all students and staff.
- Quick-to-learn songs by the likes of Imogen Heap, Billie Eilish, Bruno Mars and Radiohead.
- A mix of A cappella and accompanied arrangements.

Big Band
- The Big Band is an energetic and polished ensemble, led by musicians Keith Morgan and Nick Attwood.
- We always want to hear from new players so if you are not sure you have enough musical experience then please get in touch.
- Big Band rehearse once a week on Monday evenings.

Gospel Choir
- The Gospel Choir is directed by Kim Samuels.
- Everyone is welcome – there's no audition and no previous experience is necessary.
- Gospel Choir rehearse once a week on Wednesday lunchtimes.

Jazz Ensemble
- A chance for instrumentalists and vocalists to play jazz and blues.
- Jazz Ensemble is a group aimed at advanced performers.
- Jazz Ensemble rehearse once a week on Monday evenings.

Orchestra
- The UWE Orchestra is conducted by Senior Lecturer in Classical and Jazz Music Enrichment, Steve Legge.
- The UWE Orchestra welcome players of all orchestral instruments at Grade 6 standard and above.
- UWE Orchestra rehearse once a week on Tuesday evenings.

Saxfaction
- Saxophones of all sizes welcome - minimum Grade 5 standard recommended.
- Play innovative saxophone arrangements and pop.
- Saxfaction rehearse once a week on Monday evenings.

Technicolour
- An online choir that re-imagines your favourite musicals with epic harmonies, contemporary sound and an explosion of glitter.
- Everyone is welcome.
- There is an option for face to face rehearsals in Bristol.

UWE Brass Band
- A unique collaboration with the Bristol University Brass Band.
- The band is a student-run group who rehearse each week leading to major concerts and competitions.

UWE Singers
- UWE Singers is our biggest choir, directed by renowned conductor Ben England.
- No audition is required but experience singing in a choir will be valuable.
- UWE Singers rehearse once a week on Tuesday evenings.
