Description

In this half talk half dig session, you will meet UWE Bristol alumni Alex Montgomery who will present the company he created, Generation Soil, and how it contributes to making Bristol more circular.

The talk will take place in the Students' Union meeting room, and then we will head over to the community garden.

The session will cover why soil matters, how bokashi and composting actually work, and what happens to food scraps in a city system, with hands-on material, so people can see and handle finished living compost rather than just hear about it.

Alex might also bring other surprises such as soil listening equipment, and potentially microscopy.
