Offer Holder event travel and parking

To find out which campus you should visit, please check your event ticket. Then you'll be able to view campus-specific travel information depending on your course of interest.

Frenchay Campus

The campus you visit for an Offer Holder event depends on the course you're interested in. Please use our course search to find out which campus your course is taught on.  

Train

Bristol Parkway is the nearest train station to our Frenchay Campus. There are free shuttle buses to pick you up and drop you at our Frenchay Campus. Shuttle buses pick up at Bristol Parkway from 08:00–13:00. Drop off will be all day until 16:15.

Bristol Temple Meads will also have shuttle buses running to Frenchay Campus from 08:00 with the last return at 16:00.

There will be marshals wearing UWE Bristol high‑vis uniforms at both stations to guide you.

Parking

After you've registered we'll email you in the days leading up to the Offer Holder event with information about which campus entrance to use – North or East. You can also check session information on your tickets for your campus and sign-in information.

Parking is free on Offer Holder event days. You don't require a permit or pay and display ticket.

There are dedicated stops at Frenchay Campus for National Express, Megabus and FlixBus services.

Glenside Campus

The campus you visit on an Offer Holder event depends on the course you're interested in. Please use our course search to find out which campus your course is taught on.   

Train

Bristol Parkway is the nearest train station to our Glenside Campus. There are free shuttle buses to pick you up and drop you at our Glenside Campus from 08:00–13:00 and return all day until 16:00. Marshals wearing UWE Bristol high‑vis uniforms will be at the station to guide you.

Parking

Please use the postcode UWE Glenside BS16 1DD.

Parking is free on our Offer Holder event days and our friendly staff will be there to guide you on the day.

City Campus - Bower Ashton

The campus you visit for an Offer Holder event depends on the course you're interested in. Please use our course search to find out which campus your course is taught on.   

Train

The nearest train station to our Bower Ashton Campus is Bristol Temple Meads. Shuttle buses will run every 30 minutes between 08:30–13:00, returning from Bower Ashton from 12:00 until 15:30, approximately every 30 minutes. Marshals wearing UWE Bristol high‑vis uniforms will be at the station to guide you. 

Parking

Parking is available at the Long Ashton park and Ride. Please use the postcode BS3 2HB. There are free shuttle buses to take you to and from campus, running approximately every 15 minutes from 08:30 until 16:00.

City Campus - Arnolfini

The campus you visit for an Offer Holder event depends on the course you're interested in. Please use our course search to find out which campus your course is taught on. 

Train

The nearest train station to our Arnolfini site is Bristol Temple Meads, which is a 20 minute walk away.

Parking

There's free parking available 07:00-19:00 on the day of the event at Apex Parking, Prince Street, Bristol, BS1 4QF.  This car park is within a three minute walk to the Arnolfini. You must email open@uwe.ac.uk with your vehicle registration number by Wednesday 18 March 2026 in order not to get charged on the day.

Please note this is a public car park and spaces may fill up during the day.

Buses

There will also be free shuttle buses running to our city centre student accommodation and to Bower Ashton Campus. Services depart regularly – approximately every 15 minutes – from outside the sign‑in area at Arnolfini. If you need any help, please speak to a member of staff wearing a high‑vis uniform.

Bristol Zoo

Our FdSc/BSc(Hons) Integrated Wildlife Conservation course is run at Bristol Zoo Project, Blackhorse Hill, Bristol, BS10 7TP.

Train

The nearest train station to Bristol Zoo Project is Bristol Parkway. If you travel by train, please speak to one of our UWE Bristol marshals at the station when you arrive. They’ll order you a free taxi to the Zoo.

After the event at the Zoo we’ll give you a lift back to Frenchay Campus at 13:00 approximately, so you have the chance to explore our main campus. From Frenchay Campus you can return to Parkway station anytime on our all-day shuttle bus.

Parking

Please use this postcode: BS10 7TP. There’s a free car park available at Bristol Zoo Project. Parking is limited and we cannot guarantee spaces will be available. There is limited on-street parking nearby.

Ashton Gate Stadium

Our BA(Hons) Sports Business and Entrepreneurship course is run at Ashton Gate Stadium, Bristol, BS3 2EJ.

Train 

The nearest train station is Bristol Temple Meads

The Number 24 Citylines towards Ashton Vale will take you from Redford Hill bus stop, near Bristol Temple Meads Station, to Durnford Street bus stop. Taking this route involves a walk of approximately 20 minutes.

For local buses please visit First Bus.   

Parking  

Please use postcode BS3 2LQ. Parking is available in the Media Entrance car park.

You can access the car park from Ashton Road. The spaces are on your right as you drive in to the car park. Once parked, please head down the back of the Ateyo Stand, where you’ll find a door with branding for our Degree Hub on the glass.

Scan the QR code on arrival in the Degree Hub, which will entitle you to free parking. Please do not scan the QR codes on the signs in the car park, these will ask you to pay for your parking)  

Travel discounts for Offer Holder events

We’ve teamed up with Great Western Railway (GWR) and National Express to offer discounted travel to your Offer Holder event.

You won't need a free bus ticket or travel from Bristol Parkway or Bristol Temple Meads. There will be free shuttle buses from these rail stations to the Offer Holder event.

GWR

You’ll get a 20% discount if you travel to our Offer Holder event with a GWR train service. 

Please note:

  • The discounted prices are indicated with a red asterisk.
  • You can combine this offer with the 16-25 Railcard.
  • The 20% discount is only available on GWR advance single fare tickets on selected routes. You must select either Bristol Temple Meads or Bristol Parkway station as the destination.
  • The origin of the journey must be within the GWR network. Advance purchase tickets are not available for short distance journeys.

National Express

You’ll get a discount of 30% if you travel to your Offer Holder event with National Express. You can travel from any location to either Bristol Bus and Coach Station in the city centre or UWE Bristol Frenchay Campus.

Terms and conditions:

  • Discount only valid for visitors travelling to open days at University of the West of England (UWE Bristol).
  • Discount only valid for visitors travelling to Open Days / Offer Holder Events on 21 March, 25 April, 6 June, 10 October and 21 November 2026.
  • Redeemable from any location to University of the West of England Frenchay Interchange, Stand A or Bristol Bus and Coach Station.
  • Only valid for travel to Open Days on the following dates: 20-22 March, 24-26 April, 5-7 June, 9-11 October and 20-22 November 2026.
  • Must book at least 72 hours in advance.
  • Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer including Coachcards.
  • Offer cannot be used on third-party services.
