Support for MENA exam disruption

Support for applicants affected by MENA regional disruption

We recognise that applicants across the region may be facing uncertainty beyond examination schedules. This may include exam disruption, travel or flight disruption, or wider regional challenges that affect your ability to confirm plans as expected.

UWE Bristol continues to welcome applications from affected students. These measures are in place to ensure that prospective students can apply with confidence, even where plans may need to remain flexible. Our admissions approach is designed to be clear, supportive and consistent, enabling informed decision making without unnecessary delay.

Admissions flexibility and academic assessment

Where standard exam results are delayed or unavailable due to disruption, UWE Bristol accepts alternative forms of academic assessment as part of the admissions process. This may include predicted grades, alternative assessment outcomes, or school submitted academic evidence, in line with course requirements.

Applicants do not need to delay applying or contact Admissions in advance – relevant evidence is considered automatically as part of the normal assessment process.

Financial reassurance and flexibility

Where circumstances change after you have applied, UWE Bristol's international deposit refund policy allows a refund to be considered in specific exceptional cases, including where an applicant is unable to take up their place due to civil disruption, supported by appropriate evidence and reviewed on a case by case basis.

To help reduce the overall cost of study, UWE Bristol offers tuition fee reductions for eligible international students:

Further support and next steps

Once enrolled, UWE Bristol also offers a wide range of academic, wellbeing and practical support to help international students settle and succeed during their studies.
