About us

The Department of Applied Sciences aims to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone.

We want to develop the full potential of our students whilst offering an enriched educational experience that equips them with the qualifications and skills to achieve their ambitions.

Based at the University's Frenchay Campus, we offer a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, professional training and continuing professional development courses and events.

We have an excellent reputation for the quality of our teaching and approvals from external bodies such as the Forensic Science Society, the Institute of Biomedical Sciences and the Institution of Environmental Sciences.

Research and knowledge exchange are fundamental to the Department, both in terms of our contribution to the global academic community and society, and to enhance the quality of our teaching and student experience.
