Accessing your UWE email account

There are different ways to access your UWE email account:

  • Log in to MYUWE and click on the envelope icon in the top right corner.
  • Head straight to Microsoft Outlook and sign in with your UWE Bristol username and password.

Important note: we do not recommend accessing your UWE email from any other links or sources (such as a Google search).

When accessing Outlook for the first time, you can change your contract, language and time zone settings. You will also need to agree (by clicking OK) that Microsoft and UWE Bristol, as domain administrators, may access your account and its contents and reserve the right to suspend, terminate, or modify your account as necessary.

Storage

Your mailbox quota is 99GB. When your mailbox reaches its limit, you won't be able to send new mail until you delete some existing content in your mailbox. To find out how much quota you've used:

  1. In the Navigation Pane, click Mail.
  2. Point to your name at the top of the folder list.

A window will appear that shows you the current size of your mailbox.

The default message size limit is 25MB.

Top digital wellbeing tip: only keep valuable emails. Digital clutter can make you less productive and contribute to stress and anxiety.

Forwarding emails to a personal account

We do not recommend forwarding your UWE Bristol emails, as this can increase the chances of messages not being delivered to you. However, if you need to do this, you can use rules to automatically forward messages.

Important note: UWE Bristol accepts no responsibility should the mail not be delivered to any external account not provided by us.
