All vehicles, except motorbikes, parked on UWE Bristol campuses between the core hours of 08:30 and 17:00 Monday to Friday must display parking validation in their vehicle windscreen or driver's window. Vehicles must be parked in a designated parking bay.

Open Parking manages parking enforcement under the Independent Parking Committee (IPC) guidelines and is a member of the Approved Operator Scheme. Any breach of UWE Bristol Parking Policy may result in a Parking Charge Notice (PCN) and further action that is deemed necessary in accordance with the IPC guidelines.

Staff permits

Information on the rules for staff parking at UWE Bristol, including the process for applying for a permit, can be found using the intranet guide.

Electric vehicles and charging on campus

There are electric charging points which can be used by anyone with a valid permit in car parks 4 and 5 (near S Block) on Frenchay Campus. These marked bays are reserved for electric plug-in vehicles only. Installation of additional charging points are planned for Frenchay, Glenside and Bower Ashton campuses.

The fine print

As a member of staff, you can park in all unrestricted car parks. Please check parking signage for any restrictions.

Even if you have a permit, we don't guarantee access to individual spaces. Parking on campus is entirely at your own risk. We accept no responsibility for any vehicle theft or for any loss from or damage to vehicles parked on campus.
