Pioneering Solicitor Ravi Naik will deliver the Honorary Doctorate Lecture at Bristol Law School.
Please arrive at 17:45 ready for the lecture to commence at 18:00 for one hour.
The theme of Ravi's talk is “Enemies of the people: Power and law in the digital age” and his career.
About the speaker
Ravi is Legal Director of AWO, a digital rights firm. Ravi studied LLB(Hons) at UWE Bristol, graduating in 2006. He is best known for his work on cases that protect individuals' data rights, representing clients in some of the world’s most high profile and controversial cases.
Notably, Ravi acted for the claimants in the lead claims against Cambridge Analytica for political profiling, as well as numerous other precedent setting data rights cases. Ravi won the Law Society’s 2018-2019 Human Rights Lawyer of the Year award and in 2020 co-founded pioneering data rights agency, AWO.
