Eligibility to attend graduation

Eligibility criteria

We send an email to all provisionally eligible students inviting you to either a July or November ceremony.

The ceremony series you're invited to depends on the course you complete and when your results are confirmed at an award board (when your final grade is confirmed).

However, to attend graduation you must:

• Complete and pass your award by the relevant award board dates applicable to each ceremony series
• Clear any tuition fees and debts
• Book your place to attend by the deadline.

How to check your award status

1. Check award boards and results publication dates. 
2. Log in to MYUWE to check your award board dates.

Book your place before receiving your results to ensure you can attend.

Check ceremony series by award board date

Your level of study and when you pass your award at award board determines which ceremony series you'll be invited to.

Graduation ceremony series take place in July and November.

Undergraduate and integrated master’s students

Results confirmed at an award board:

• between 4 November and 24 June 2024 – invited to July 2024 series.

• between 25 June to October 2024 (exact dates TBC) – invited to November 2024 series.

Postgraduate students

Results confirmed at an award board between 4 November 2023 to 24 June 2024 – invited to July 2024 series.

Exceptions

The ceremony series you will be invited is based on when you started your course.

Graduate diploma or BSc Nursing awards

• January, February and March intakes – invited to July 2024 series.

• September intake (providing you have completed by the October award board) – invited to November 2024 series.

Postgraduate Research

• Results confirmed at an award board between 4 November 2023 to 3 May – invited to July 2024 ceremony series.

Graduate Diploma in Law and the Postgraduate Diploma Bar Professional Training Course

• Invited to the November 2024 series.
