Description
The School of Social Sciences invites undergraduate students from Criminology, Philosophy, Politics and International Relations, Psychology and Sociology to attend our alumni panel event. Hear from UWE Bristol graduates about their early career journeys so far and what skills, experience and knowledge they have taken from their social science degree into the working world.
It doesn’t always seem obvious what careers are open to you with a social science degree but your degree can take you to a huge range of exciting roles and organisations. Your degree equips you with a host of skills and experiences that will enable you to secure graduate-level work when you leave UWE Bristol.
Whether you know what you plan to do after finishing your degree or have no idea, this event will help you consider your options and provide a fresh take on transferable skills.
What to expect
Our alumni panellists have all graduated within the past five years. They'll talk about their experience of gaining their first graduate roles and progressing through their careers with a range of employers. Some will also reflect on their experiences of postgraduate study and how this has developed their career goals.
There will be time for questions at the end of each panellist talk.
Please note, priority places will be given to final year students.

The event will feature two panel talks, please ensure you can attend both when booking a place.
