Description
The event will feature talks from Pepper Barney, Director of Urbanism at Bibo Studio, and Dr Harriet Shortt, Associate Professor in Organisation Studies at UWE Bristol.
Harriet will be sharing highlights from her recent research while on secondment in industry, exploring the challenges of hybrid working in the post-pandemic era. Harriet has been working in the field of space and place at work for the last 18 years and uses visual methods to understand employee experiences of workplaces.
Pepper Barney, Director and Founding Partner of BiBO – an award-winning multi-disciplinary placemaking practice and social enterprise – will be discussing the lack of diversity in the property industry and the influence this has on our everyday lives.
She will consider how the future of placemaking is rooted in ‘equitable urbanism’ and, by meeting the needs of people through inclusive and participatory design and business practices, we can make better places.
A light breakfast will be provided and there will be plenty of opportunity for networking.
If you would like to attend, please complete the registration form no later than Thursday 26 October. Please be aware that spaces are limited, so ensure you complete this as soon as possible to reserve your space.
