Eligibility to attend graduation

Eligibility criteria

All provisionally eligible students will be invited to either a July or November ceremony, depending on the course they completed and when the results were confirmed at an award board (when your final grade is confirmed).

To be eligible to attend a graduation ceremony you must:

• Complete and pass your award by the award board dates applicable to each ceremony series
• Clear any tuition fee debt by the deadline
• Book your place to attend by the deadline.

Undergraduate and Integrated Masters students

If you are an undergraduate or integrated masters (for example, MEng, MPlan, or MArch) student, please review the table below to see which ceremony series you will be invited to, based upon when your results are confirmed at an award board.

Postgraduate students

If you are a postgraduate student, please review the table below to see which ceremony series you will be invited to, based upon when your results are confirmed at an award board.

Exceptions

Graduate Diploma or BSC Nursing awards

If you are completing a Graduate Diploma or BSc Nursing award, please review the table below to see which ceremony series you will be invited to based upon when you started your course. 

Postgraduate Research

If you are completing a Postgraduate Research award, please review the table below to see which ceremony series you will be invited based on their award board date.

MSc PGDip Solution Focused Therapy

If you are a MSc PGDip Solution Focused Therapy student, you can attend a July ceremony as long as your award is confirmed, or will be confirmed, before the booking deadline of 21 June.

Other exceptions 

You will be invited to a November graduation ceremony if you are on:

• Graduate Diploma in Law
• Postgraduate Diploma Bar Professional Training Course.
