On Campus Open Day travel and parking
To find out which campus you should visit, please first check the course you're interested in studying. Then you'll be able to view campus-specific travel information depending on the course you're interested in.
Frenchay Campus
The campus you visit on an Open Day depends on the course you're interested in. Please use our course search to find out which campus your course is taught on.
Train
- Bristol Parkway is the nearest station to Frenchay Campus. There are free shuttle buses to pick you up and drop you at our Frenchay Campus. Shuttle buses pick up at Bristol Parkway from 08:00–13:00. Drop off will be all day until 16:15.
- Temple Meads will also have shuttle buses running to Frenchay Campus from 08:00 with the last return at 16:00.
Parking
- After you've registered, we'll email you in the days leading up to the Open Day with information about which campus entrance to use – North or East. Or check your session information on your tickets before you set off, for your campus and sign-in information.
- Parking is free on Open Days. You do not require a permit or pay and display ticket.

Glenside Campus

Train
- Bristol Parkway is the nearest train station to Glenside. There are free shuttle buses to pick you up and drop you at our Glenside Campus from 08:00–13:00 and return all day until 16:00.
Parking

- Parking is free on our Open Days and our friendly staff will be there to guide you on the day.

City Campus

Train
Important information for the Open Day on 5 November
Please be aware that national train strikes are planned on 5 November. You can stay up-to-date with how train services will be impacted on the industrial action on National Rail webpage. As an alternative, we suggest using Mega Bus, National Express or FlixBus instead.
Open Day on 19 November
- Bristol Temple Meads is the nearest train station to all City Campus sites. There are free shuttle buses to take you to our Bower Ashton site, where all courses will begin on the day.
- Shuttle buses will run every 30 minutes between 08:30–13:00. Returning from Bower Ashton from 12:00 until 15:30 every 30 minutes.
Parking
- Blue Badge parking only is available at Bower Ashton. Please contact us at Open@uwe.ac.uk.
- Parking is available at the Long Ashton Park and Ride is available. Please use the postcode BS3 2HB. There are free shuttle buses to take you to and from campus, running every 15 minutes from 08:30 until 16:00.

Bristol Zoo
Our Integrated Wildlife Conservation FdSc/BSc(Hons) course is taught at Bristol Zoo Gardens.
Train
Clifton Down is the nearest train station to the Zoo. You can also arrive at Bristol Temple Meads station and catch a number 8 bus to the Zoo.
Parking
- Please use this postcode: BS8 3HA.
- There is a free car park available at the Zoo. Please note that parking is limited and we cannot guarantee spaces will be available.
- There is also limited on-street parking nearby.
Buses
- The First Bus number 8 runs between Temple Meads station, the city centre and the zoo – it stops right outside and is your easiest public transport link.
