Faculty of Arts, Creative Industries and Education MA Scholarship

This scholarship is available to international students studying particular courses.

About the scholarship

This scholarship will be awarded to one successful student.

It is expected that the recipient would be an active member of the student body at UWE Bristol, supporting the International Office and the Faculty of Arts, Creative Industries and Education (ACE). Upon graduation, the recipient is also expected to be an active member of the UWE Bristol Alumni network.  

Following graduation, the recipient will be expected to be an active member of the UWE Bristol Alumni Network by helping the University to promote its programmes to prospective students.

Eligible applicants must

  • hold an unconditional offer or a conditional offer where IELTS or equivalent English language is the only condition
  • be a new student to UWE Bristol with no previous UK study
  • be classed as overseas for fees purposes
  • not be a sponsored student or in receipt of another scholarship/award
  • provide official transcripts at the time of application.
  • Note for successful candidates: you will need to prove when accepting the Scholarship that you satisfy the UKVI criteria in terms of being able to cover living costs and the remainder of the fee
  • upon reward of the scholarship, the successful candidate will have 5 working days to accept the scholarship and pay their deposit. 

How to apply

We are looking for applicants who have a good academic background and a passion for the arts, and creative industries. You will be invited to apply for the scholarship and in doing so will be asked to upload a short video of yourself answering the following questions:

  • Why did you apply to UWE Bristol?
  • Why did you apply for the course?
  • What are you looking forward to most?
  • How could UWE Bristol attract more students from your country?

Applications close on Sunday 8 November 2020 and assessments will take place during the following week.

The successful applicant will be notified by Monday 30 November 2020.

If you accept the scholarship, you will need to pay your £3,000 deposit to UWE Bristol within a week of receiving your scholarship offer letter. You will also have to prove that you satisfy the UKVI criteria in terms of being able to cover living costs and the remainder of the fees.
