This studio-centred course is based at Spike Island, an internationally-renowned contemporary art venue, part of our City Campus in the heart of Bristol. Working in areas such as painting, sculpture, installation, performance, video and digital media, you’ll get to explore different avenues and shape your own professional journey.

For artists who want to excel creatively and technically, BA(Hons) Drawing and Print offers a specialist 2D fine art degree. The course will give you the freedom to express your own unique voice. You’ll learn in studios at Bower Ashton and Arnolfini from practising artists with international reputations. You’ll enjoy access to our world-class print facilities – all part of our City Campus. You’ll gain valuable practical experience through placements, collaborations and group projects, attend talks by nationally and internationally-recognised visiting fine artists, and the chance to immerse yourself in the vibrant creative community here in Bristol.

Based at Bower Ashton Studios, as part of our City Campus, you’ll benefit from exceptional facilities, and input from professional illustrators and creatives. You’ll develop core skills through individual experimentation across different media, and explore problem-solving through drawing and making. Expect to work on live briefs, take part in national and international competitions, attend lectures and seminars at the Arnolfini and Watershed, and showcase your work at our hugely popular final year degree show.
