Social Policy and Practice

Social Policy and Practice brings together data from 5 databases covering Behavioural & Social Sciences, Social Work and Public Health. The majority of the material originates from the UK but there is also European and US material. Some 50% of the references are to grey literature, including semi-published reports, working papers, local and central government reports, and material from the voluntary sector and charities.

Databases included: Planex from IDOX; Acompline from the Greater London Authority; Social Care Online from the Social Care Institute for Excellence; AgeInfo - from the Centre for Policy on Ageing; ChildData from the National Children’s Bureau. It contains over 300,000 bibliographic records dating back to 1981, with approximately 24,000 added per annum.
