About the scholarship

This scholarship is in memory of our dear friend and colleague, Emma Halliwell, whose inspirational work advanced the field of body image and passion for encouraging students inspired many to pursue a career in psychology.

What does the bursary cover?

The bursary will cover conference registration, conference dinner and free attendance to the conference workshop led by Dr Zali Yager. 

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an outstanding postgraduate student who requires financial support to attend the Appearance Matters 11 Conference. 

In 500 words or less, applicants are required to demonstrate:

• The high quality and innovative nature of their current research that they plan to present at the conference.
• How they plan to apply the new knowledge and skills they will obtain from attending the conference in their research in future.
• The successful applicant must attend the full conference and have submitted an abstract to present at the conference.
