"I had a positive experience at my Virtual Open Day for UWE Bristol. All the staff were helpful, and I left the event confident I’d be supported at UWE Bristol, and that the course I chose was right for me."

How to prepare for your Virtual Open Day

  1. Step 1

Visit our Open Day page to view upcoming events and pick the one that's most relevant to you. Follow the steps to book your place on one of our Virtual Open Days.

  2. Step 2

When you register for the Open Day you can book your course talks and support services sessions at the same time. You’ll then receive an email with your ticket which shows your timetable for the day, based on the sessions you’ve chosen.

Save the email containing your e-ticket as you can use it to change or add sessions later if necessary. This means you don’t have to book all your sessions straight away. This email can also be used to access your sessions on the day (although you'll also be sent reminders).

  3. Step 3

On the day, you'll be able to access your course talk by clicking the link in your e-ticket. You can join the event 15 minutes before it is due to start.

When joining a course talk, select ‘join as a guest’. If you select ‘sign in’, you’ll either not be able to join the event, or your name and email address may be visible to other attendees.

Once you've joined, you’ll be prompted to enter a name. Enter your first name only, as this information will be visible to other attendees.

Please note: course talks may be recorded and published on UWE Bristol’s YouTube channel for marketing purposes. Only our presenters will be identifiable on the published recordings. Q&A sessions will not be published.

For a better online talk experience, you can read the Microsoft Teams accessibility features.

  4. Step 4

You'll need a Unibuddy account to attend most of our student support service live Q&A chats such as admissions, disability, dyslexia, specific learning differences (SpLD) and wellbeing support. Once signed up, you can use your login details for other Unibuddy events.

You’ll be able to access our student money advice and accommodation webinars by clicking the link in your ticket.

  5. Step 5

Access your sessions via your ticket or the session reminder emails you'll be sent on the day. Find out everything you need to know from our friendly staff and come prepared with any questions you'd like to ask the experts.
