MOVE squash course

At the UWE Bristol Sport squash courts, located on Frenchay Campus, you can learn how to play or develop your skills with a beginner or intermediate MOVE squash course taught by experienced instructors.

Details of the next courses will be available soon. The term one course starts in November and the term two course will start in February. 

  • The beginners course will run on Thursdays at 16:50. 
  • The intermediates course will run on Fridays at 18:30.

Before you can book on to this course you'll need to join our MOVE programme. To book a place on the course you will need to call our reception on tel:+44(0) 117 32 8620 or email move@uwe.ac.uk. Class sizes are very limited, so please sign up early. Please only sign up if you can attend every single session.

MOVE squash drop-ins

You can take part in squash drop-in sessions through our MOVE programme. These sessions allow you to develop your squash skills on our glass-back courts. These sessions allow you to play in a friendly atmosphere, and are open to all levels of ability. 

Rackets and balls will be available for MOVE members only at the Centre for Sport reception.

Details of the 2020 drop-in sessions will be available soon.

Venue: Centre for Sport, Frenchay Campus

Cost: Free with MOVE membership or £5 per session. These sessions are drop-in, but places will be limited so you will need to register for sessions via the app or online.

Join the club

Run by The Students’ Union at UWE, you can join Team UWE Bristol Squash who compete in British Universities and Colleges (BUCS). The club is open to all abilities, and training is available from professional coaches to help you develop your skills in the game. You can choose to play socially or competitively.

Performance Sport

The squash first team are one of our performance sports, they train and compete at a performance level. You’ll be joining a group of players that have performed consistently to a high level within the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) framework and in global squash events.

If you are an elite (national or international) squash player you are able to apply for the Performance Student-Athlete Award.
