Description
The mass participation rendition of “Zadok the Priest” will take place on Monday 1 May (Bank Holiday) at Bristol Cathedral. Given that it is likely that Handel’s “Zadok the Priest” will be sung at the coronation, St. George’s Brandon Hill and Bristol Cathedral are planning a mass participation version of it at Bristol Cathedral in the run-up to the main event, filming it and sending this with our civic greetings to HM.
It’s also 650 years of the City of Bristol this year, so they are aiming to gather a massed chorus of 650 singers. Everyone is welcome to take part, from die-hard Royalists to staunch republicans and everyone in between!
The UWE Bristol Singers will form part of a 650 strong choir accompanied by the City of Bristol Brass Band.
Rehearsal at 14:00. Performance at 15:00 (members of the public can attend for free to listen – no need to book).
