Description

Professor Duffy is the founder of Human Rights in Practice, an international legal practice based in The Hague that supports strategic human rights litigation, legal research, and capacity building in partnership with lawyers and activists worldwide. With extensive experience before regional and international human rights courts, as well as national jurisdictions, Professor Duffy brings unique insight into the practice and impact of strategic litigation.

In this session, she will reflect on her career and discuss recent landmark work, including the Abu Zubaydah case, exploring how strategic litigation can advance accountability and human rights protection.

This event will be of particular interest to Law students aspiring to practice, as well as solicitors, barristers, and other practitioners seeking to deepen their understanding of human rights advocacy in action.
