Description
Our expert guide Andy Gulliver, manager in the Accommodation Services, will talk us through the sustainability features of this ground breaking low carbon development: Passivhaus certification.
Meeting the highest possible eco credentials, its sustainability features including triple glazed windows, high levels of insulation and mechanical ventilation system providing good air quality and comfortable temperatures, its nature positive gardens and themed sculptures!
Learn how the energy demands of the buildings are reduced by over 80% and that as a fossil fuel-free development, any heating required will be generated by air-source heat pumps and electricity will come from solar panels.
All students and staff are welcome on this informal inspiring tour!
