Description
The event will open with a keynote address entitled Ongoing accountability efforts in Ukraine by Dr Fabricio Guariglia, Director of the Hague Office of the International Development Law Organization and former Director of the Prosecution Division of the International Criminal Court.
Building on the overview he presented in his recent Just security blog post on the Ukraine accountability ecosystem, Dr Guariglia will offer an expanded and updated analysis of the ongoing accountability efforts related to the conflict in Ukraine. He will examine the evolving roles of domestic, international, and hybrid mechanisms, outline recent developments in investigations and prosecutions, and reflect on the broader implications for achieving justice in complex and rapidly shifting environments.
Following the keynote, a panel featuring Tanvir Hashem Munim (Lecturer at UWE Bristol and Counsel at the ICC), Dr Alison Bisset (University of Reading), and Prof Lawrence Hill‑Cawthorne (University of Bristol) will discuss emerging perspectives on post-conflict and post-atrocity accountability.
