Description
We are running a Greenspace conservation volunteering workday at several sites around Almondsbury.
We will be travelling between sites, via mini-bus, planting saplings provided to Almondsbury Parish Council by the Woodland Trust.
You'll get a free veggie or vegan meal deal on the day, but please bring some snacks if you’d like and a bottle of water. Please e-mail the Green Team at thegreenteam@uwe.ac.uk if you have any dietary requirements not covered by the vegan or veggie diet.
Make sure you wear practical clothes and footwear, for example, wellies, walking boots or sturdy trainers. You should check the weather beforehand so you can dress accordingly and be as comfortable as possible.
This is open to all UWE Bristol students, and no experience is necessary!
How to attend
Please book you place by midday, Friday 28 November. Spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
We will meet outside the Students' Union at UWE shop at 9:45, and then take a minibus to the first site together. We will take a minibus between the following sites: Almondsbury Parish Council, Woodhouse Down Playing Fields, The Scop/Vernal's Fields, Easter Compton Playing Fields.
We will aim to be back at Frenchay Campus no later than 16:00.
