Description

All students are welcome to join the Green Team and drop in for a social and some gardening activities in the Community Garden at Frenchay Campus.

The gardening activities will be run by two of the fab UWE Bristol Grounds Team staff. There will also be the chance to plant some seeds to grow on your windowsill with Alex Montgomery who is an Urban Farmer and ex-chef. Alex is the founder of 50 Ways To Cook, is a freelance food system educator and has an MSc from UWE in Sustainable Development. You can follow him on Instagram.

There will be some free tea, coffee and vegan food. You can get involved with some gardening activities or you can just relax and get to know other students. Being out in nature and learning to grow our own food can have a really positive impact on our wellbeing and this will be a great place to meet some like-minded students in a relaxed environment. The Community Garden is fully wheelchair accessible and we are very welcoming of all abilities.

Meeting point

Meet us outside The Students’ Union shop on Frenchay campus at 12:00.

Or you are welcome to make your own way to the garden and meet us there.
