Disabled students workshop

Description

You are invited to a workshop where we will share information with you about:

• how to disclose your disability or health condition to the University and your tutors
• what reasonable adjustments are and how to arrange them
• whether you are eligible to apply for Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA), how to get it and other useful tips

The workshop will also include time for you to meet other disabled students and to ask questions one-to-one to staff from the UWE Bristol Disability Service. We will repeat the same session on different campuses and also run an online version. 

All new and returning students are welcome.

What to expect

We will provide information which you can follow along with at the time such as practical steps about how to get things set up on MyUWE. Please bring a device with you if you can, such as a laptop or phone. 

We will then have some time at the end where you can meet other students. Disability Advice team members will circulate so that you can ask any questions.

At the online workshop, we will present the information and finish with a question and answer session, where we'll answer your questions. 

The workshop lasts for one hour but you can leave at any time.
