Awards Ceremonies

Class of 2020 and 2021 Awards Ceremonies have been postponed to spring 2022 due to coronavirus. We are currently planning for the class of 2022 ceremonies to take place as normal in July and November 2022.

Cancel your attendance

If you wish to cancel your attendance or guest tickets, please contact the Graduation Team at – please include your student number.

Cancelling before the registration deadline

If you cancel your attendance before the registration deadline you will be refunded for any guest tickets purchased.

Cancelling after the registration deadline

We cannot refund you if you request a refund after the registration deadline, except in exceptional circumstances as per the graduation terms and conditions.

Unconfirmed awards

If your award is not confirmed by the date of your ceremony, your registration will be cancelled and your guest tickets will be refunded. Your refund will be sent to our Finance Team on the day that you would have attended the ceremony, and from that date it will take a maximum of 14 working days to process.

Robe hire and photography

In the event that you cancel your attendance, defer your Awards Ceremony or we cancel your attendance because you do not complete your award, you will need to cancel your robe hire and photography with Ede & Ravenscroft to receive a refund from them.

You can cancel web-based orders online by logging into your Ede and Ravenscroft account and requesting a refund. Requests to cancel telephone orders must be made in writing. Please note that a charge of £1.50 will be made for administration. Refunds will not be given for any requests received less than seven days before the date of the ceremony.

Cancellation Policy 

UWE Bristol reserves the right to cancel any event and is not liable for any cost, whether incurred directly or indirectly, caused as a result of any cancellation or change of venue or date. Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an Awards Ceremony, attendees will have the option to transfer their guest ticket purchase to the new ceremony date or receive a refund, upon proof of purchase.

In the event of a cancellation, change of venue or date, the University will endeavour to notify attendees wherever possible through the contact details given at the time of booking. Cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances may occur at any time. Attendees are responsible for checking the University website for the most up-to-date information about an event.
