Selection for BSc Maths with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

You will be interviewed by the Aidan Farrell (Senior Lecturer in Mathematics Education) and either Emily Walsh (Senior Lecturer in Mathematics) or Deirdre Toher (Senior Lecturer in Statistics).

Your interview will take place over Microsoft Teams. You will receive a link to this from the interviewing team a couple of days before your interview, which will give details about the duration of the interview.

The interview

At the start of the interview, there will be a short presentation by the programme team. This will be followed by an academic writing task, a whole-group discussion on a general education topic, and a subject interview which will require you to answer a number of general questions, as well as talk through/present the mathematics task.
